**About the Role**
This role is a crucial part of our Supply Chain team leadership team, responsible for driving the continuous improvement agenda whilst fostering a culture of excellence. Supported by Supply Chain Analytics, you will make recommendations on business and department strategies, identify opportunities to improve business performance, and drive both internal and external growth.
In addition, you will be responsible for analysing and identifying cost optimization opportunities, and working with relevant stakeholders to implement process improvement changes to ways of working and operations to realize cost-saving benefits. You will set the company direction for continuous improvement in the Supply Chain, and lead and implement approved continuous improvement efforts identified by the specific site, by the company, DC managers, or by our sales team and customers.
As the manager of our partnership with all our external 3PL providers, you will be responsible for driving their performance against KPIs, developing relationships, exploring potential 3PL expansion, and connecting to the WWG growth strategy. **What you’ll be doing**
- Lead and coordinate a wide variety of identified and approved initiatives and projects designed to improve processes and performance in all areas of the business, as well as supporting new ventures/customer solutions
- Lead the implementation and sustainability of Lean Practices across the Supply Chain
- Hands on involvement to prove process concepts and implementation of improvement activities.
- Lead and Manage studies in cost, quality, productivity, flow, safety and root cause analysis
- Identify and recommend location specific company-wide improvement initiatives and opportunities
- Communicating project objectives and progress at Executive level, demonstrating traction being achieved
- Analyse data to identify cost saving opportunities, as well as leading Process Improvement initiatives
- Working Cross Functionally to influence change and realise cost savings
- Manage all 3PL partnership to ensure best in class performance for WWG and our customers
**What we’re looking for**
- You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:
- Ability to communicate to and influence key stakeholders
- Supply Chain knowledge of what good looks like
- Understanding the drivers of our SC costs
- Previous experience in managing teams; as well as influencing a large group of employees in one location (such as warehouse at Melbourne Airport).
- Strong Analytical background with ability to use Excel to a very high level; PowerBI and understand the use of a Warehouse Management System.
- Understanding of CI/Lean practices
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent work ethic
- Leadership skills
- Strong focus on team and team player with a can-do attitude
- Understanding of Project Management principles
