About the Role

Based at Bapcors Tullamarine Distribution Centre the General Manager - Supply Chain Operations will lead the Group Distribution Centres across Australia, working with DC Managers to drive a safe, harmonious, efficient, and service driven operational environment. This role will drive and translate the Supply Chain strategy across verticals, to deliver a best-in-class and contemporary operating model. You will be a natural leader, with the ability to unlock potential through leading, coaching and mentoring. A key to your success will be the ability to focus on the strategic pillars that will drive us forward, unlocking Bapcor’s Supply Chain’s true growth value.

**Key responsibilities include**:
This role has responsibilities spanning across Health and Safety, Strategy, Cost, Operations, Relationship Management and Leadership.
- To drive the strategic plans of the supply chain across the entire network & ensuring the alignment of the end to end supply chain strategy with the overall business strategy.
- Build a sustainable operational environment that delivers bottom line savings and acts as a growth opportunity for the business with a customer centric focus.
- Drive a program of continuous cost optimisation, driven by financial management systems and a continuous pipeline of improvement projects.
- Drive continuous commercial improvement across the distribution channels ensuring there is a focus on improved utilisation across the workforce and logistics.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance of the Supply Chain.
- Improve organisation effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve productivity and drive a high performing engaged culture.
- Lead, mentor, coach and support the management team to achieve the Supply Chain Strategy.

About You
- Demonstrated knowledge (10+ years’ experience) of end-to-end supply chain processes domestically and internationally.
- Significant experience in a leadership role, with a focus on strategic alignment and leading high performing multi-site teams.
- Exposure to managing teams across multi-site operations, strategic planning team/resource management, process design and implementation and post-acquisition integration.
- A demonstrated achievement of improvement & change in a traditional distribution environment.
- Experience with improvement programs (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).
- Degree qualifications in Management, Logistic/Supply Chain, Business or a related disciplin
