**Here's an overview of our role**:
The Commercial Operations Compliance Analyst is responsible for undertaking relevant checks and validating data, systems and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations relating to the reporting of market data for the Jemena Gas Markets portfolio.
**Your role will cover the following**:
The purpose of the Commercial Operations Compliance Analyst is to:
- Develop, implement and maintain the **Commercial Operations - Compliance and Assurance Framework **which includes a list of all market compliance activities and a clear timeline on and responsibilities
- Performing and monitoring all daily market obligations in relation to STTM, GBB, DWGM, Capacity Trading and Day Ahead Auction
- Performing and/or monitoring of all other market obligations e.g. Monthly STTM and DWGM settlement data, other monthly disclosures (scheduled flows, historical flows, maintenance and capacity outlook), annual GBB reports
- Perform regular checks and compliance audits of source data and systems relevant to the above obligations for each pipeline
- Assisting in investigation and remediation of any data errors or non-compliances, including data gathering, process assessment and improvements, and communication with external parties as needed.
- Develop robust testing plans for processes and systems
- Review new products and service offerings prior to implementation to ensure compliance
- Perform root cause analysis for any near misses or breaches. Implement corrective actions to address root causes, ensure relevant risk registers are up-to-date and develop strategies to mitigate Jemena’s market compliance risk.
**A little about you**:
- Qualification in a business, information systems, commercial, or compliance management discipline
- Exposure to and an understanding of managing/administrating contracts
- Understanding of energy markets and experience in energy market operations, contract administration, financial administration, measurement or accounting in the energy industry is desirable
- Data analysis experience, including the ability to prepare and present data
- Strong digital literacy including advanced MS Excel skills. Knowledge of database query software such as SQL desirable but not essential.
