**About the role**
- Identifies the educational needs of the early childhood sector through review of regulatory data and stakeholder feedback
- Supports quality improvement and regulatory compliance in early education and care services through the development and delivery of education and guidance
- Prepare reports, briefs, and submissions to support decision-making
- Engages with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and regulation

This role sits within the Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority**,**which oversees the regulation of early childhood education and care services across NSW. As a Policy Officer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering education to ECEC services about the National Quality Framework. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will support the design of educational tools and advice for the sector that improve safety, quality, consistency, and outcomes in early childhood education.

**About you**
- Experience in policy, research, or regulatory environments
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to assess complex information and provide clear recommendations
- Team player with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Knowledge of early childhood education regulations (preferred)
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- A working with children check for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
