**Head of Talent - Operations and Programmes**

**About the role**

As the Head of Talent, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s People, Safety, Sustainability and Risk Group.

You will lead the strategic direction and implementation of many of Talent’s operational procedures, managing a team to attract, recruit and retain top talent. This role involves providing mentorship, driving organizational growth, and supporting managers in aligning with V/Line’s values and objectives.

As one of two new Heads of Talent, this position will focus primarily on the operational and volume portfolios within V/Line.

Key Accountabilities include:

- **Strategic Development**:Collaborate on and develop V/Line’s Talent Acquisition Strategy.
- **Team Leadership**:Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team, driving capability uplift and spearheading transformational initiatives to enhance team performance
- **Process Improvement**:Strengthen and develop strategic processes to manage high volumes of recruitment activity.
- **Project Leadership**:Lead Talent -related projects across the business, including Talent technology uplift
- **Framework Development**:Lead and develop frameworks, tools, and processes supporting Talent Acquisition efforts, ensuring compliance with Victorian Public Sector standards.

- Digitally savvy, with experience in implementing recruitment technology
- Proven experience in leading a team through transformation and capability uplift
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of enhancing processes and procedures
- Experience working in large, complex organisation, managing high-volume recruitment bound by Enterprise Agreements
- Background in developing Early Career Recruitment Programs
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
