We’re currently working with a technologically leading social enterprise who are looking for a new Head of IT Operations to join the organisation in permanent capacity and take over the leadership of a team of 5. As the Head of IT Operations you will be leading the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, while managing timeframes, resources, and costs, among other responsibilities.

This role requires full time hours which includes 3 days per week on-site at their inner-west office, currently salary for the role is $130,000 plus super with packaging available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop a strategic IT roadmap in alignment with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
- Design and maintain the IT architecture and infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimise infrastructure components.
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conducting regular tests to ensure reliability.
- Manage the IT Operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and overseeing project backlogs.
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand IT needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Oversee vendor management, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
- Manage the service desk operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs and customer satisfaction.
- Administer network services and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and maintain comprehensive documentation.

**Required Skills & Specialisms**:

- Proven experience in IT operations management with a track record of delivering secure and reliable IT services.
- Previous work within a social enterprise would be highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in IT service management frameworks and IT security principles.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a talent for nurturing and developing IT professionals.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities focused on delivering business value.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all organisational levels.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in IT operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Recognised industry certifications.
