This Federal Government statutory authority is responsible for implementing the Government’s policies and programs to improve the lives of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
**Your new role**
In this Strategic Policy position, you will be part of a team that supports the CEO, Executives and Government. You will coordinate key functions so that the organisation is well positioned to provide consistent policy oversight and alignment of priorities. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing strategic writing and coordination services to the CEO to position the team as a trusted partner for the Ministers, their staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and review briefs, reports, submissions and correspondence to ensure high-level advice is consistent and supports the policies of the Government.
- Fostering effective internal and external relationships to demonstrate the statutory authority’s reliability and responsiveness.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for the position you will have previous experience within the Federal Government and in a similar position. You will also have:
- The exceptional ability to quickly coordinate and draft briefs, slide decks, placemats and other documents.
- Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to foster effective relationships with Ministerial and senior executive support.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to be self-motivated, adapt to changing circumstances and operate flexibly under limited supervision.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 level.
