European-based, Orthopaedic medical device company dedicated to digital innovation, tailored hardware and patient-centred care, is searching for a true sales-focused professional to join their NSW team.
The Product Specialist role is responsible for driving growth through achieving sales targets and increasing company market share. This is achieved through the development and execution of effective sales strategies, business development plans, and building and maintaining meaningful relationships with all stakeholders including surgeons, hospitals, and other key account personnel. The role is responsible for gaining market insights and providing feedback into the business in order to better understand customer needs and wants and competitor activity. The Product Specialist will also support other parts of the business through collaboration, sharing of information, consignment stocktakes, case coverage, attending industry meetings and other tasks as required from time to time.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Meet territory sales, market share, and product mix objectives.
- Develop territory business plan in collaboration with direct sales manager to ensure appropriate balance between sales activity and case coverage to achieve sales objectives
- Assess, analyse and act upon customer feedback and satisfaction to maximize customer retention
- Understand the surgical techniques associated with implants and the correct use of instrumentation.
- Develop surgeon and hospital strategies to leverage new business opportunities and maximize existing sales revenue
- Conduct hospital in-servicing workshops in your territory to ensure hospital staff are familiar and can use products to a high degree of proficiency.
- **Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Health Sciences or similar discipline
- At least two years’ of medical device experience, preferably in an Orthopaedic discipline
- Knowledge and understanding of the medical marketplace and its dynamics
- The ability to read, analyse and interpret clinical data, procedures, periodicals and professional journals
- Provide after-hours and weekend case support, as necessary.
