**About the Role**:
Looking for a new challenge? Due to retirement of one of our long-standing employees, NHP are now seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Representative to join our team.
Reporting to the SA Sales Manager, your role will be an ‘on the road’ sales position, working from a home-based office in Whyalla SA. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships in the region to drive sales targets and develop profitable business. In addition, you will be required to develop and implement account strategies based on current & anticipated customer requirements.
This is a consultative sales role where you will be working with end users across a range of industries including Mining, Heavy Industry, Water & Wastewater Food & Beverage to name a few.
You will also work closely with other customers and stakeholders including Electrical Contractors and Wholesalers to provide complete Electrical Solutions across Automation, Power distribution & Motor Control.
Travel will be required in this role. You will service a region ranging from Whyalla to Port Pirie, Clare, Roxby Downs, Flinders Ranges, Coober Pedy and Ceduna in South Australia.
**Ideally you will have / be**:
- **Electrical related qualifications or experience (highly regarded)**:
- **Automation knowledge (a distinct advantage)**:
- Previous experience in sales, business development & customer focused solutions including new development & key account management
- An ability to work autonomously with effective time management & organizational skills
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
- Excellent listening skills to understand customer requirements
- Relaxed demeanour & a natural ability to connect and build relationships in a tight knit community
