We are searching for the right person to go on that journey with them and help execute the growth as the Head of Business Development.

**The Role**

This role is paramount for creating and managing opportunities to further grow the footprint. The successful person will maintain and develop the already strong reputation and relationships to drive the business forward.

There is a solid pipeline of work available to be executed and prosecuted with interested parties worldwide. You will use your strategic planning skills to successfully execute this major pipeline through strong partnering, engagement skills.

This is an influential position.

- The role needs someone with an appreciation in Business Development for Defence across Australia and internationally ideally including the 5 Eyes.
- Working towards leading and growing the business development and capture for the company. Helping to implement and develop innovative systems and processes.
- To strategize and generate new opportunities with a customer centric focus utilising a strong network.
- A technical mind is essential to identify how the products integrate into their customers' needs and can generate strategies. (Ongoing product training given)
- This role suits a person to grow into the role and grow as the company expands.
- This opportunity will use your strategic planning skills to successfully execute a major pipeline through strong partnering, engagement skills.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Previous success as a Defence Business Development Manager.
- Previous experience working in a technical role and/or environment.
- Minimum 5-10 years in Defence Industry.
- Be a strategic thinker combined with a tactical hands-on approach for BD.
- Ideally served in the Australian Defence Force.
- Experience in the managing the full life cycle of the bid process
- Driven, motivated, positive, high energy with outstanding influencing and negotiation skills.
- Solid skills in strategic partnering and teaming agreements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Solid defence network and relationships.
