The Adelaide Convention Centre sits proudly in the Riverbank Precinct, which is rapidly evolving to create a global hub for Adelaide, incorporating leading-edge health and medical research, education, innovation and entrepreneurship, sport, entertainment, culture, convention and event facilities.
A new opportunity exists for a budding sales professional to solidify a strong foundation in business development whilst contributing to the objectives and targets of the national and international sales team at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The Business Development Officer will have two core areas of responsibility:
- Lead generation: Responsible for generating new national and international conference leads. The role will be heavily focused on sales research and research projects to identify new opportunities aligned to South Australia’s key industry sectors.
- Reactive sales: Receive, qualify and respond to client enquiries for small-scale national and international events. This will include preparation of tailored event solutions, quote documentation, client liaison, conducting site tours and converting opportunities for Adelaide Convention Centre.
This role is suited to someone looking to build a career in a highly targeted sales team or someone with prior experience and knowledge of the association and corporate convention market keen to contribute to Adelaide’s success.
