**The Role**
The Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO) is seeking a Security Advisor to manage and coordinate critical security and building facility management practices across the unit.
Key duties of this role include:
- Provide moderately complex security advice and guidance across the HALSPO organisation, including identifying areas for improvement and broader education.
- Undertake security risk assessment activities.
- Research and collect data and information to draft routine reports, publications, papers and submissions.
- Coordinate in consultation with Defence Corporate areas to monitor HALSPO building facility maintenance and upgrades.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and share information.
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member to meet work area objectives and foster a positive team environment.
- Monitor individual task progression against agreed performance expectations and deadlines to achieve quality outcomes.
**About our Team**
Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO) is responsible for the cost effective sustainment of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-17, KC-30A and Special Purpose Aircraft (BBJ & Falcon 7X) in supporting Air Mobility Group in achievement of their mission.
HALSPO was established in 2007 and consists of Australian Public Service (APS), Australian Defence Force (ADF) specialist positions to manage the logistics, contracting and corporate governance aspects associated with supporting the KC-30A and C-17 weapon systems and Special Purpose Aircraft.
The HALSPO Enabling Services team has an exciting opportunity for a Security Advisor & Business Operations Support Manager to join our multidisciplinary, high functioning and fully supported team. You will join a dynamic Enterprise, in conjunction with Industry partners and Air Force, to directly support and deliver vital Defence capability in support of Australia’s national interests. HALSPO is located at RAAF Base Amberley, approximately 50 km south west of Brisbane.
