**The Role**
The Collaborative and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Controls Officer to join a dynamic and collaborative team. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with Australian and US export control requirements, directly supporting CASPO in achieving its key objectives.

Responsibilities of this position include:

- Provide accurate and timely advice on Australian and US export control regulations, ensuring compliance within the PO.
- Implement and maintain the PO’s export control framework, including the Technology Control Plan (TCP) and the Joint Export Plan (JEP).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Commonwealth and Defence export control entities such as Defence Export Controls (DEC) and Australian Military Sales (AMS).

This position require an individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the exports control framework in a Defence environment.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
The Lead Exports Advisor is part of the Export and International Agreements team, primarily focusing on export control functions while collaborating closely with specialist in international agreements, project management, engineering, test and operations, and corporate functions.

The team takes a holistic approach to its work, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and capability development to achieve key program outcomes.

As a valued team member, you will engage with export control and international agreements activities related to cutting-edge defence technology.

This role offers exposure to the latest Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) capabilities, placing you at the forefront of integrating these emerging technologies into the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

Experience in a Defence project environment would be highly regarded. Applicants should demonstrate their experience or ability to quickly acquire skills in management controls, as well as their alignment with the Integrated Leadership System (ILS) at the APS 6 level.
