Albert Road General Practice is seeking an experienced and motivated practice manager to join our friendly, high-performing team on a permanent part-time basis (3-4 days per week).

This is a unique opportunity to take over from our long-standing practice manager, who has been with us for over three years and is transitioning out of the role to start a family. The clinic has established systems and policies in place, a dedicated team, and a strong culture of excellence in patient care.

**About the role**
You’ll be an integral member of the leadership team, working closely with our doctors, nursing and admin team to support daily operations and drive continuous improvement. You will also supervise our capable and committed Assistant Practice Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day function and an exceptional experience for our patients and staff.

This role is ideal for someone with solid general practice experience who is confident working independently, proactive, and passionate about leading a team in a values-driven environment.

**Essential selection criteria**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within a general practice
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage priorities with mínimal supervision
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and efficiency
- Proficiency in Best Practice, HotDoc, and the AGPAL accreditation process

**Desirable selection criteria**
- Experience in a private-billing clinic and use of Tyro or similar EFTPOS systems
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to foster a positive team culture

Albert Road GP is a modern, welcoming general practice committed to high-quality care. Our team includes three GPs (with special interests in skin cancer, women’s and children’s health, men’s health, and preventive medicine) and a physiotherapist, supported by a well-trained, hardworking and communicative admin team. We have five consulting rooms, a fully equipped treatment room, and a strong, supportive workplace culture.

We are located in South Melbourne, just off St Kilda Road near the Botanical Gardens and Albert Park Lake, with easy access to public transport (1-minute walk to trams on St Kilda Rd and Park St, and a 20-minute walk to Flinders Street Station).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $51,965.00 - $117,592.00 per year
