About the Role
As the Complaints and Risk Advisor you will have responsibility for the following:

- Proactively assist senior officers and the Manager in the development, implementation and documentation of the Intake and Assessment administrative processes and practices.
- Maintain information technologies and the incident management database, in accordance with best practice and in compliance with relevant Acts and Regulations and departmental policies.
- Maintain effective complaints management practices, including prioritising correspondence, responding to outstanding queries and requests for information, and being first point of contact for incoming complaints.
- Ensure high quality complaints management through effective liaison with Principals, Regions, Regional Offices, Schools, Human Resources Business Partners, senior departmental management, other government agencies, and complainants.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all correspondence and administrative documents, in preparation and delivery of the unit's interactions with the Queensland Police Service, Crime and Corruption Commission, Queensland College of Teachers and other internal business units to ensure that the delivery of advice is correct.
- Contribute to the development of plans and key performance indicators by working as part of a team to ensure that performance is measured and monitored to achieve improved outcomes with regard to case and file management, risk management, and suspension.
- Monitor progress and report to the Manager on various projects, undertake investigation, research and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters relating to complaints management tasks, suspensions and risk management.
- Assist the Manager, Intake and Assessment team, and the Director, Integrity and Assessment Unit in delivering the unit's corporate reporting requirements, including performance monitoring reports, ministerial and parliamentary briefs and other reporting requirements.
- Conduct in-house training on the following areas: database use, administration required for cases and files, undertake assessment and preparation of Student Protection referrals and Code of Conduct Breach and Investigative documentation.
