**Your role**: As the Principal Advisor you will have responsibility for the following:
- Provide direction and guidance on the intake and assessment of complaints and reports involving student harm and employee misconduct in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and ongoing risk management processes.
- Supervise team members in undertaking the duties of intake and assessment by providing guidance, coaching, ongoing assessment, review of work and feedback on performance.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders including State and Federal Police, Crown Law, the Crime and Corruption Commission, and other government agencies and represent the department at related forums as required.
- Work cooperatively with other divisional staff to achieve business plan objectives, especially with respect to risk management processes.
- Prepare complex reports, correspondence, briefing notes and submissions to senior and executive management, the Minister, Director-General and other clients on significant departmental issues.
- Undertake supervision of the day to day operations of team members within Intake and Assessment.
- Undertake research and develop and facilitate the delivery of training packages relating to areas relevant to the functions of Intake and Assessment, including risk management processes, corrupt conduct, misconduct and disciplinary matters, potential breaches of the Code of Conduct, and trends in learning and development as required.
- Provide advice and support to clients on misconduct prevention strategies and ethical standards, promoting ethics awareness throughout the department, and other learning and communication strategies.
