**About the role**

Reporting into the Head of Racing - Thoroughbreds, this role will largely be accountable for overseeing the thoroughbred trading operations and performance. You will work closely with the thoroughbred team to execute the trading strategy, ensure product is merchandised to expectations and assist in coordinating feature event planning. You will have stakeholder engagement with customer facing and product merchandising teams as well as tech support teams to ensure that the daily end-to-end requirements of thoroughbred betting product are being met.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure that the trading strategy is being adhered to
- Analyse team trading strategy performance and provide insight on individual trader performance metrics
- Manage trading support tools and recommend required changes with support of tech teams
- Provide daily performance updates and insight to management regarding cyclical growth and performance against budget/reforecast
- Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports on performance as well as career development opportunities

**About You**
- Proven track record of positive people leadership with a strong commercial acumen
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to see issues through to resolution whilst dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of trading strategies or an interest in the wagering industry

The Risk & Trading team at Sportsbet adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff, however during our busy periods there is a requirement for weekend work. Shifts will generally fall between 9am - 6.00pm.
