The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for centrally coordinated strategy and policy leadership in relation to domestic national security arrangements, law enforcement, emergency management, counter-terrorism, social cohesion, the protection of our sovereignty, the integrity of our border and the resilience of our national infrastructure.

The Australian Border Force, an operationally independent body within the Department of Home Affairs, is Australia's frontline border law enforcement agency and Australia's customs service. The Australian Border Force's mission is to protect Australia's border and facilitate the legitimate movement of people and goods across it.

**Overview of the Division, Branch and Section**:
Operational Coordination and Planning (OCP) supports the Australian Border Force (ABF) to respond to border related threats and effectively deliver against operational priorities.

The Australian Border Operations Centre (ABOC) Command sits within OCP.

The ABOC is a centralised and unified operations centre, responsible for providing a single source of truth on ABF operations. ABOC is the central point of contact for partner agencies engaging with the ABF.

The ABOC unifies operational capabilities of the Department of Home Affairs and the ABF into the planning, execution, coordination and management of national ABF activities and operations across the entire border continuum.
- ABOC Watchfloor_

The ABOC 24/7 watch floor facilitates a national real-time view of operational activity and priorities. It provides a triage and prioritisation function, disseminating information across the ABF and Divisions within Home Affairs in addition to coordinating and facilitating response actions.

It also operates as a primary point of contact for partner agencies and stakeholders engaging with the ABF; and it provides support to a major incident room (MIR) or Incident Coordination Centre (ICC) during significant operations or incidents.
- Border Operation Centre (BOC) _

Border Operation Centre operated a 24/7 capability and supports key internal and external stakeholders, providing a range of services to international and external clients on the movement of people to and from Australia.

It also maintains a capability to support a Government response to a range of incidents and major events with a focus on the movement of travellers across Australia’s borders.
- Operational Prioritisation & Coordination_

Operational Prioritisation & Coordination provides centralised operational coordination and incident management across the ABF, including centralised prioritisation and taskings to track effort and performance. It supports current and future ABOC capabilities, focusing on the enablers supporting mission success in a multi-domain, multi-agency environment. This includes new technology platforms linking to future ABF capability initiatives.
- ABOC Response & Preparedness_

ABOC Response and Preparedness provides a rapid stand-up and continuity of effort for major incidents that require a higher level of strategic coordination or operational command than can be provided by regular ABF business practices. It also provides the development and delivery of essential training and tools in support of our operational capability and strategic priorities while continually developing and upskilling officer capabilities.
- Pre Border Travel Operations_

Pre Border Travel is the central coordination point for all aviation and maritime arrivals planning, ensuring that the ABF remains interconnected through the whole of government planning and approval of aircraft, maritime vessel movements and the Central Movement Alert List (CMAL).It manages the information aspects of pre-border traveller movement through the CMAL function, Crew Travel Authority (CTA) registration for crew on non-scheduled passenger flights; APP Reporting Infringements and Guests of Government/VIP facilitation and event coordination.
- Operational Performance Management_

Operational Performance Management contributes to tactical, operational and strategic outcomes by developing a range of corporate and operational reports including, but not limited to: the Portfolio budget cycle; Senate Estimates; and operational performance against operational priorities. The team supports operational areas by providing data and analysis that enables data-informed decisions an
