**About the role**:
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Terminal to receive, transfer, store and blend products. To ensure that the facilities operates in a safe, effective and reliable manner.

This role is based in Lytton Terminal, QLD and will be on a rotating-shift roster including day shift and night shift.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Deliver safe and incident free performance
- Monitor own performance through KPIs and ensure Distribution commitments and service levels are met
- Train new employees, perform terminal inductions and support localised training programs
- Support strategic and key infrastructure projects
- Identify and support implementation of improvement initiatives
- Support risk management activity and ensure that compliance with Ampol, regulatory requirement, safety and environment standards are met.
- Coordinate tank movement
- Sampling and testing product to confirm specifications

**About you**:
You have a positive and can-do attitude with proven experience in a similar role or willing to take on the next challenge and build a career within Terminal Operations (training is provided). You are safety focussed and able to commit to shift work both dayshift and nightshift.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Previous experience in petroleum industry or hazardous facility is desirable (not essential)
- Tertiary/Trade qualifications in engineering or related discipline
- Cert III in Process Plan operations is desirable
- Strong mechanical background
- Safety focussed
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
