**About the role**:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, we have an exciting opportunity and a newly created role for an experienced mechanical coordinator/ technical advisor to join our maintenance team in the Lytton Refinery.

This position will be responsible to plan, schedule, and execute all mechanical related maintenance and to drive safe and efficient work practices in the workplace.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance team.
- Guiding execution priorities inline with risk, compliance and operational demands.
- Supporting escalations in the execution of unplanned reactive work when required.
- Identify and implementing growth and continuous improvement.
- Forecast and define work for inclusion in the forward planning cycle.
- Coordinate multidiscipline teams during minor outage events.
- Oversee the management and reporting of equipment to minimise unavailable and unhealthy equipment.
- Management and reporting of the overspeed RFE database.
- Resolving maintenance related URB items.

**About you**:
You have a positive and can-do attitude with proven experience in a similar role, willing to take on the next challenge and build a career within the Lytton Refinery. You are safety focussed, team play and ability to work autonomously.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Previous experience in petroleum industry or hazardous facility is desirable (not essential)
- Tertiary/Trade qualifications in engineering or trade discipline
- Cert III in Process Plan operations is desirable.
- Strong mechanical maintenance background
- Proficient in SAP
- Safety focussed
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
