**The Role**
This important sales leadership role is responsible for the sales growth of the PFD Foodservices Fresh Seafood. Within this role, you will work closely with the State Sales team, ensuring the Foodservice strategy and budget objectives are being met through building sales capability specifically targeting seafood while fostering the PFD values and behaviors and driving team performance accountability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute state strategic sales plan to achieve sales and margin budgets for seafood, in alignment with the national strategic sales plan;
- Full accountability of achieving the State's sales & margin targets in seafood.
- Ensure PFD sales systems (CRM/OMS/Larry) are implemented and adopted by all sales employees;
- Through the effective use of data, ensure sales and margin planning processes are in place to enable targeted sales objectives
- Ensure major customers using seafood are commercially retained through structured business plans of continuous improvement initiatives to unlock growth;
- Drive targeted state new business opportunities and take the lead for all major state-based seafood contract renewals and tenders;
- Engage with key suppliers and develop relationships to support basket growth and retention.
- Undertake periodic sales meetings with FSMs and Sales Representatives and communicate through the sales pack;
- Develop the seafood sales capability of FSM’s and sales representatives through effective recruitment (where required), induction, training and coaching.
**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- High impact communication
- A strong seafood background especially the knowledge that covers both fresh and frozen products
- Strong Sales background and understanding of Sales processes;
- Ability to coach, develop and motivate a remote sales force
- Commercially astute;
- Drive execution of a national sales strategy within seafood
- Ability to manage people and processes;
- Computer literacy;
- Ability to adapt, encourage and promote change;
- Self motivated with a positive attitude;
- Ability to set budgets and determine objectives for achieving such targets.
- Leverage relationships with internal and external partners to achieve common goals
