**About the role**

The Operational Contracts Coordinator will be essential in helping the Coach Services and Operations Contracts teams. You will support contracts that improve financial results, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, process improvements, and risk management.

Reporting to the Manager of Coach Operations & Contracts, you will work with Contract Managers, Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Suppliers to ensure smooth contract management, compliance, and service delivery according to contractual terms and key performance indicators, providing value for money.
- In addition, key accountabilities include:_
- Assist with invoicing, reporting, ad-hoc requests, and maintaining efficient processes and governance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to achieve optimal contract outcomes.
- Contribute to contract management activities, including KPI monitoring, reporting, renewals, compliance audits, and contractor communication.
- Analyse spending and performance metrics to support Contract Managers in identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- Compile and analyse contractor KPIs, assist with invoice processing, and ensure contract cost reconciliation.
- Manage correspondence, document control, and reporting while adhering to governance and internal control requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with statutory obligations, policies, and procedures.

**About you**

You are a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and organisational skills. You have a proven track record in similar administrative roles within an operational environment and excel at supporting a busy team.
- A couple of years of experience in a similar role, including coordinator responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, with the ability to manage data and create reports (Intermediate level or higher).
- Previous experience in contract management, including familiarity with cost control, the contract lifecycle, and compliance, is highly regarded.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, you take initiative in solving problems, independently address challenges, and approach tasks with an analytical mindset.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining focus and efficiency.

The recruitment and selection process may include aptitude assessments, behavioural and/or technical interviews and employment references.

The remuneration for this position will be in accordance with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023. The salary range, aligned with Clerk C1 - C3, is $79,665 to $95,337 base, and will be offered commensurate with expectations and experience.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening including, probity (police) checks, medical assessment, and Australian entitlement to work. Employees of V/Line are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check Victoria (Employee) for the duration of employment.
