**Marsh** is seeking for **Workers Compensation Consultant** to be based in our Melbourne office:

A rare opportunity exists within the Worker’s Compensation Placement Team to service the privately underwritten policy funds across Australia. This unique opportunity will see you manage a portfolio of clients and work closely with the workers compensation claims and safety consultants to deliver world-class guidance and efficiency to clients.

**We will count on you to**:

- Make recommendations on design of research & analysis plan; manage research, data collection and documentation; and conducts more complex research & analysis of risks to provide guidance to clients
- Create presentations/slides and other communications of high complexity; and extract and summarise key insights for presentations/communications that drive internal and client meetings
- Proactively engage in client and internal meetings, drive client projects, analyse and solve problems with an acute understanding of time sensitive matters
- Develop pricing for projects, support the development of proposals and review technical concept, working with consulting management to improve efficiency and pricing
- Advise clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to support risk programs and initiatives
- Build and nurture successful business/working relationships with clients and insurers alike to grow the books
- Be up
- to
- date on industry trends in the worker’s compensation market, including pricing, appetite, safety, claims trends and risk management to enable strong understanding of client risk and produce positive outcomes for clients
- Lead small projects and growth

**What you need to have**:

- Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
- Microsoft office suite skills preferable
- Strong negotiation and people skills favourable
- In-depth knowledge of managed funds, privately underwritten and excess of loss worker’s compensation market advantageous, including pricing, risk appetite, insurers and policy requirements
