**User Experience Design Support Officer**

**Location - Parramatta**

**Employment type - Ongoing full-time role**

**Salary -**$99,938.00 pa to $110,271.00 pa, plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**

**Your role**

**What you’ll do**

In this role, you will support user-centred digital content enhancements across departmental websites and intranet platforms.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting user research, developing wireframes and mock-ups, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure digital content is accessible, consistent, and aligned with best practices. You will also maintain design assets, coordinate project plans, and ensure outputs adhere to NSW Government branding and style guidelines.

Administrative support and stakeholder engagement are key aspects of the role, with a strong emphasis on delivering inclusive, effective, and compliant digital experiences.

You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team that includes product managers, developers, and communications professionals. The team culture is centred on user-focused design, accessibility, and innovation. Flexibility across projects, proactive stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. Team members are expected to contribute to a supportive and professional workplace that values integrity, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery.

**What we’re looking for**

We’re seeking someone with hands-on experience in UI, visual design, and UX, particularly within collaborative, cross-functional teams. A solid grasp of user-centred design methodologies—such as service design, usability testing, and design thinking—is essential. You should also have a sound understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG AA), government digital communication requirements, and brand compliance.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills are crucial for success in this dynamic, stakeholder-focused environment.
