Construction Phase Support Manager

Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7 kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast’s expected population growth in the coming decades

**Are you up for the Challenge ?**:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Construction Phase Support Manager (CPS Manager) to join the GCLR Stage 3 team and play a key role in the successful delivery this iconic Queensland project.

In the role of CPS Manager, you’ll be required to
- Manage RFI and NCR progresses
- Review RFI’s raised on site and manage the process to address. This process will involve reviewing the RFI’s and either responding were possible or engaging with the design team to respond.
- Track, monitor and progress RFI’s through the workflow process including close out of post AFC changes with handback owners where required
- Track and monitor Design consultants CPS expenditure
- Work with Design, construction, and quality teams to collectively resolve technical issues when required. Important to work on solving issues and not just acting as a post-box.
- Attendance at regular design, construction and quality meetings as required
- Build a trusted relationships with both Design, JHG and external parties
- Manage the as-built drawing process with design team

**About you**:
It is essential that you have experience in a CPS management role within a major infrastructure environment as well as,
- Proven commercial and legislative compliance skills and design frameworks and systems
- Demonstrated competencies in Head Contract and Subcontract understanding and interpretation
- Strong stakeholder management with major consultant partners
- Awareness of risk management principles and how design can impact operational risk
- Proficient skills in relevant computer software packages and necessary to perform the role
- Strong time and cost management skills in timely delivery of design and management of both the costs of preparing design and the costs of the works
- Tertiary Qualification in Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying - RPEQ required.
