**About Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3**:
Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented and driven Planning Manager to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**About the role**:
The planning manager will work to establish, evolve, and manage the process of planning, detailed programming and monitoring of performance to deliver the best quality project outcomes on time and on budget.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Develop and implement planning strategies
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of industry best processes are successfully set-up and implemented
- Highlight issues that may impact planning
- Provide planning resources and support to the project
- Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders including clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors and subcontractors
- Drive a great planning and controls culture across the project
- Complete regular reporting and benchmarking
- Implement project monitoring systems while focusing on time, cost, resources and quality

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Construction, Building Sciences, Architecture or Project Management
- 12+ years' experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning or Project Controls
- Pervious experience in the planning process and the use of schedule risk management
- Well versed in the use of planning software and tools such as Earned Value, Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts as well as Critical Path Analysis
