**About Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3**:
Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented and driven WHS Manager to join our team on a 12 Month Contract and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**About the Role**:
Joining an already established WHS Team you'll be assisting with the implementation of Safety Management requirements, strategies and initiatives across the project and assist with the reporting of safety KPIs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and administer education and compliance programs for employees, clients, contractors and visitors
- Continue to guide and support the Project Leadership Team from a safety perspective
- Ensure the project maintains robust risk management processes, capability, focus and discipline
- Investigate all causes of events on site and recommend actions to prevent future occurrences
- Provide specialist support to internal stakeholders including operational leaders, project employees, contractors, clients and visitors
- Lead and develop a team of safety professionals

**To be successful in this role, you must have**:

- Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety or equivalent
- Safety Lead Auditor Qualification
- 5+ years Safety Management experience
- Sound understanding of QLD Safety Legislation and statutes
