**Your new role**

Your new role as L&D Manager is to develop and implement training programs and initiatives to support the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives.

You’ll be responsible to ensure high quality efficient training is provided and source and manage external income/funding. You’ll also contribute to the continuous quality improvements and ensuring compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements. You will lead and manage a team to achieve the corporate training objectives and undertake timely and effective performance appraisals for direct reports to monitor and develop the training team. You will work with managers ensure appropriate training staff are available for all the organisations.

You will manage training needs analysis for all staff and ensure the provision of high quality, flexible and appropriate training is provided across all areas. You will design, plan, implement and evaluate training initiatives to meet strategic and operational requirements. You’ll also be responsible for developing and implement appropriate training material which may include e‐learning, learning packages, self‐paced learning packages, videos, resource library. You’ll implement and maintain training information, systems, and audit processes with sites to support the organisations' compliance with policy, legislative and accreditation requirements. You’ll manage, evaluate, and improve the training programs.

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be successful, you will ideally hold a qualification related to Human Resources or training. Cert 4 in Training and Assessment is essential. It would be beneficial to have experience working within the not-for-profit sector.

Ideally, you will have experience of managing small teams. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the ability to design, development and implement training packages, manage training budgets, strong negotiation skills, and implement innovative training packages.
