**The City of Melville has an exciting Compliance Planning Officer opportunity in its Statutory Planning team to monitor, advise, and enforce compliance to relevant planning codes, legislations, and regulations within the City of Melville.**
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Demonstrated experience in a planning compliance role.
- Demonstrated experience in the collection, recording, management of data.
- Experience with the practices and processes associated with the issue of notices, infringements and complaints, prosecutions and the collection and giving of evidence in both a court and at the SAT.
- Sound experience interpreting maps and plans.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Experience in undertaking negotiation and conflict resolution processes.
- Experience in conducting compliance investigations.
- Sound computer literacy skills.
- Sound organisational skills.
- Developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Decision making and problem solving skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills including presentation techniques and report writing.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Essential - Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- White Card or willingness to obtain
