**Strategic Initiatives Officer - Creative Melville**
- **Part-time, temporary 6-month contract**:

- **Up to $98,534.79 p.a. total salary package **($83,061.05 - $89,171.76 + 10.5% super)

**We seek an engaging Strategic Initiatives Officer to support the management and coordination of creative and cultural development projects and initiatives to further our strategic and operational objectives for a Creative Melville, could it be you?**

This is a newly created role, that will work alongside our Strategic Initiatives Lead to contribute creatively and innovatively to the cultural teams achievement - supporting plans such as our Cultural Infrastructure Strategy.

There will be opportunity to work in the development and planning of cultural projects, programs, and events from concept design to business case/proposal and then to delivery, so we are seeking someone who is passionate about the local cultural and creative sector, who is able to inspire those in the community about the importance of Arts and Culture.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Extensive experience in a Cultural/ Creative sector including Museums, Libraries, Arts, Planning, Architecture.
- Extensive experience in managing cultural services/ projects; including developing and monitoring budgets.
- Experience working with and supporting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander led initiatives.
- Experience working with and supporting Culturally Diverse communities.
- Extensive experience with community engagement processes.
- Knowledge of contemporary cultural development philosophies, practices and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Essential - Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Creative and innovative thinking with a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective, timely and efficient project management skills with excellent organisational and time management skills; ability to manage diverse projects.
- Skilled liaison with stakeholders (internal and external) to build and manage positive relationships and excellent customer services skills.
- Highly developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills
