SYNOPSIS:

The City of Melville is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team and help drive excellence in procurement processes within the local government sector. **Salary**: $75,333.50 - $87,934.61 pro-rata p.a. + 11.5% super

**Location**: City of Melville Civic Centre

**About the Role**

As the Procurement Officer, you will be a key contributor to the City of Melville’s procurement activities. Your responsibilities include:

- Assist in managing the full tender and quotation processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and City of Melville contract templates
- Update and maintain procurement records and registers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and current
- Assist with preparing comprehensive reports for the Contract Tender Advisory Unit and Council
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to navigate tender and procurement processes
- Play a role in reviewing and improving procurement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement
- Offer support and guidance to staff on using the City’s Finance One system for raising purchase requisitions and orders
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams, continuous improvement initiatives, and audit teams to ensure the success of procurement activities

**What We’re Looking For**
- Current National Police Clearance
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- A demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously
- A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills
- A desire to learn and grow within the procurement field
