Program Manager

Our client is one of Melbourne's most renowned educational institutes. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Services Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of network-related projects and initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Program Planning and Strategy: Develop and drive the overall network refresh project business case, go-to-market approach, plan, and resource allocation. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project requirements and identify business needs and goals. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Project Management: Define business case, project plans, milestones, and success criteria for network initiatives. Coordinate project activities, resources, and dependencies to ensure timely execution and delivery. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Communicate project status updates to stakeholders, executive management, and relevant parties.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, architects, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into network designs and solutions. Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to select and manage external vendors and service providers. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for network initiatives. Coordinate with the IT department and other relevant teams to integrate network projects with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of network projects. Monitor project performance against established KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary. Prepare regular reports and presentations on project status, key findings, and recommendations for executive review.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvement within network project management. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network project management. Share knowledge and provide mentor ship to team members to foster professional growth and development.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
**Essential**:

- Proven track record of delivering complex Network and Infrastructure projects, including a good understanding of gateways, firewalls, routers, etc.
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms to plan, track, and manage network projects. Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus.
- Experience in working with network equipment vendors and service providers. Ability to evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of network products and services.
- Strong documentation skills to create business cases, design requirements, implementation plans, and project reports. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Desirable**:

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
