Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the eastern suburbs, who are looking for immediate support within their Payroll/AP team.
**About the role**
The Payroll/Accounts Payable Officer will initially be a contract role with an opportunity for permanency and/or extension. You will be responsible for supporting end-to-end Payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. You will also be responsible for payment of invoices within accounts payable. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, advanced analytical skills, and a track record of success within accounts payable. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and key stakeholders to drive process improvements, improve efficiency and support organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee payments accurately, including taxes and benefits.
- Compliance and Legislation: Stay updated on Australian employment laws and ensure payroll processes comply.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare payroll reports for management.
- Timekeeping and Attendance: Oversee time and attendance systems to ensure accuracy.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve payroll issues promptly and collaborate with relevant departments.

**About you**
- You have a background and experience in Payroll and/or Accounts Payable, with a proven track record of improving efficiencies.
- Experience with SAP is desirable.
- You are immediately available - could start next week
- Knowledge of HR3 systems.
- You are happy to start off on a contract, with potential for permanency.
