**The Role**

This role is an all-encompassing Payroll Officer position with half of the role being more broadly accounts based including all general bookkeeping functions. Reporting to the Head of Finance, your remit is to manage the payroll as a standalone role and support a small team, being flexible in delivering on the needs of the business.

**Key duties will include the following**:

- Identify gaps and opportunities within the current processes and procedures and provide contemporary solutions in how the payroll is processed in the future.
- Take ownership of all payroll-related functions of this small payroll of circa 100 staff.
- Administration of new starters, terminations, contracts, and potentially support additional HR-related functions.
- Advise and coach Managers with all employment-related matters with regard to Awards and EBAs, and future changes as needed.
- Provide analytics and reporting to leaders to support resourcing discussions.
- Accounts Receivable support, following up debtors as required.
- Accounts Payable, expenses and banking.

**The Fit**
- You are an experienced Payroll Officer but also seeking the variety that comes with the broader remit of this role. A flexible approach is required to support the organisation once the primary functions of payroll is delivered. You will be a people person with the necessary communication and engagement skills to support the business and have excellent attention to detail in all that you do. You will ideally come from a Logistics or Distribution sectors and have several years experience in all matters payroll & bookkeeping. Based on the city fringe, this is a great opportunity to work growing business that also offers the flexibility to work several days from home. Salary circa 80k pkg.
