Accounts Payable Officer required for a friendly, supportive organisation in Melbourne's north. Quick start available and could lead to permanency.

**The Company**

The organisation are a non for profit who have an incredible track record of supporting their community members. They also have a great culture and a family friendly team where many have been part of the company for many years. Offices are located towards Melbourne's northern suburbs and can be accesses by private or public transport. The Manager for this position is very flexible in terms of offering work from home flexibility too.

**The Role**

This is a quick start opportunity which sits within the core finance team and reports directly to the Finance Manager. You will support the wider accounting team and focus predominantly on Accounts Payable tasks initially:
Typical day to day duties will involve:

- Helping with the processing and scanning of invoices
- Checking and coding all payments
- Managing the processing of around 20-40 payments daily
- Handling supplier queries and statement reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Helping to prepare payment runs for approval by the CFO
- Processing staff reimbursements and travel costs
- Acting as backup for the Payroll Officer (training is available)

Whilst this position is for 3 months initially and is ideal for those who can start immediately, we expect this role to run for the long term.

Work from home flexibility is on offer as long as you can reach the offices in Melbourne's north 2-3 days per week.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- Minimum 1 years Accounts Payable experience in a mid-large sized organisation
- Comfortable working in Melbourne's northern suburbs
- Able to start immediately but also interested in a permanent position next year
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to start by late November
- Stable career history
- Long term working rights in Australia
