**About the role**:
A fantastic and unique opportunity for a multi-skilled Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our Asia Pacific finance function, working closely across multiple jurisdictions including Australia, New Zealand and Vietnam. Reporting into the Regional Finance Manager, you will be taking ownership and running the end-to-end payroll cycle for specific regions within APAC. You will be performing all payroll-related tasks, including but not limited to processing new hires, superannuation and deductions, overtime and other additional payments.

**You will be responsible for the following**:

- Maintain accurate payroll processing system and records, by collating, checking, calculating, and preparing payroll input data, such as joiners, leavers, and existing employee changes, for manual template submission to our payroll partners (including ADP for Australia).
- Prepare and finalise payroll reports ready for submission and approval for payment.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between HRM system, timesheet system and internal payroll reports in a timely manner.
- Manage all payroll related queries, proactively resolving them or escalating when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with HR and payroll provider in processing accurate absence within the required timeframe
- Process superannuation and benefits changes, working with HR and external stakeholder providers to ensure data is accurately maintained and reported in a timely manner.
- Ensure all payroll regulatory filings are completed and statutory reporting deadlines are met, including Payroll Tax & Workcover submissions, Superannuation payments, assistance with FBT submissions.
- Assist in payroll reporting for management reports and provide ad-hoc support as and when required.
- Assist with month-end accounting and bookkeeping processes such as calculation of employee related leave balances and maintenance of clearing accounts, and posting required journal entries into our accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Provide some support to Accounts Payable function on an ad hoc basis.

**Our ideal person**:

- Experience of payroll processing for the APAC region. Australian payroll processing experience is a must and good to have exposure to New Zealand and/or Vietnam payroll processing.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills and ability to work in Excel daily. Basic sum and lookup skills will be ideal.
- Detail-oriented with working knowledge of payroll practices.
- Some basic AP and/or bookkeeping and accounting experience ideal.
- Experience gained within an international group will make you stand apart.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem solver, who can identify, manage and resolve issues independently, and escalate when necessary.
- Able to display sensitivity, discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters concerning remuneration and benefits.
