The St Andrew's Hospital Foundation, where this role is based, exists to support St Andrew's Hospital. We raise funds to provide our hospital with financial support, enabling St Andrew's to maintain state of the art equipment and facilities and to provide specialized staff education and training.

**About this role**
Our Foundation has a long history of supporting a community of volunteers who are deeply and personally connected to the hospital and wish to make a meaningful contribution. The heart of our volunteer service is based in our Volunteer Coffee Shop and our Patient Transport Service.
- **The Volunteer Coffee Shop **offers the opportunity for volunteers to learn hospitality skills, barista skills, WHS standards, and to work together as a team to deliver a service that donates back to the Foundation. Relationships with patients, their families, our clinical teams and more have the chance to grow and develop in this warm space.
- **The Patient Transport Service **offers the opportunity for volunteers to work with our Concierge to escort patients upon arrival to where they need to go. They provide a caring and friendly welcome that is part of the St Andrew's experience.

The Volunteer Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that volunteers are supported, valued, and motivated in their roles. This highly collaborative role will enrich and develop our volunteer program, manage the day to day operations of the Volunteer Coffee Shop, and work with the wider Foundation team to build engaging and high impact programs.

**About you**

In addition, you will demonstrate:

- Sound administration skills and computer literacy with skills in the use of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and electronic databases
- Strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- A professional, compassionate and caring attitude and approach to communicating
- Numerical acumen and an understanding of budgets and pricing within a hospitality/retail environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively and resourcefully
