The Make a Difference Foundation is a dedicated group of people who believe in giving back to the community. We support individuals and groups who fall between the cracks of government or corporate assistance, offering positivity, resources, and hope to those who need it most.

About the Event

We are proud to present our annual Charity Gala Night at Adelaide Oval, raising vital funds for Lolly Jar Circus - South Australia's only fully inclusive circus school for children and young people with disabilities or at social risk. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 to help Lolly Jar Circus secure a permanent home and expand their life-changing programs.

Volunteer Role – Event Support Volunteer

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our team and help deliver a seamless and successful black-tie event for over 400 guests.

Key Duties may include:

  • Guest registration and ticketing
  • Handling EFTPOS payments and raffle ticket sales
  • Assisting with auctions and prize coordination
  • Supporting the event team with run sheet tasks
  • General setup and pack-down (liaising with Adelaide Oval staff)
  • Helping at interactive stations (photobooth, arcade games, etc.)
  • Assisting guest speakers and auctioneer
  • Providing guest assistance throughout the evening

Skills and Experience (not all essential):

  • Friendly, approachable, and reliable
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork and flexibility
  • Cash handling / EFTPOS experience (helpful but not required)
  • Previous event or hospitality experience (welcome but not essential)
