Senior Employment Law Specialist

Seeking a results-driven lawyer with extensive expertise in employment law and industrial relations to join our organization as a senior legal counsel.
This role will involve providing trusted advice on employment law, industrial relations, and compliance matters, collaborating with leaders across the organization to interpret legislation and industrial instruments, mitigate risk, and develop commercially viable solutions to complex workforce challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of new employment and industrial relations legislation within the organization.
- Ensure legally compliant enterprise practices are maintained.
- Proactively identify, advise on, and manage compliance risks associated with employment and industrial relations.
- A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience as a qualified lawyer (in-house and/or private practice).
- Strong knowledge of employment and industrial relations law, including the operation of awards and enterprise agreements.
- Demonstrable understanding of legal principles and judicial procedures.
- Proven experience in commercial negotiations and providing strategic legal advice.
- Commercial mindset with experience in change management.
- Experience with payroll systems and compliance, preferably including Kronos.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
