About the Role

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our stores appointments run smoothly, with the right staff available at the right times to meet our patient needs. As an Optometry Schedule Manager, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the schedules of our optometrists within OPSM clinics.

Your primary goal will be to balance their availability with clinic demands, while also coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. This will involve managing communication, record-keeping, compliance, problem-solving, optimization, and reporting to enhance efficiency and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain schedules for optometrists, taking into account their availability and clinic demands.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage communication, record-keeping, compliance, and problem-solving to optimize optometry scheduling.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and reduce locum usage.
  • Ensure adherence to optometry loadings and manage annual leave balances.
Requirements
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Prior experience using an Employee Payroll System.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify priorities and manage conflicting deadlines.
  • A keen analytical mindset and enthusiasm for numbers and data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.

This role offers a salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and bonuses.
