About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Operations Supervisor to join our team at Qantas Airways Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preplanning process for all Australian Airports, ensuring fatigue, safety, operational, and customer plans are in place.
  • Lead the team for pre-day of operation, coordinating responses to disruptions and formulating resolutions to resourcing challenges.
  • Engage with stakeholders, facilitate effective business partnering, and liaise with key stakeholders on operational matters.
  • Identify, address, and escalate issues associated with current day operations, ensuring high-level stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
  • A strong background in Workforce Planning, including day of operations pre-planning and allocating.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large teams and their performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Solid experience working in an operational environment, with experience in disruption management.
  • Ability to make operational sound resource decisions, leading up to and including day of operations, with a strong planning and problem-solving skillset.
  • A proactive approach, innovative thinking, and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks, meet strict deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in GroundStar planning and rostering systems (desirable).
  • Advanced numeracy skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and present numerical data for business insight.
