Subject Teacher: Ancient History and Culture

A highly motivated and experienced teacher is sought to join our faculty in a permanent full-time position commencing in January 2025. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Ancient History and Society & Culture, with the goal of fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth among students.
About the Role:
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Demonstrate expertise in HSIE, including knowledge of curriculum requirements and assessment strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure collaborative support for student success.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback to facilitate improvement.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a deep understanding of the Catholic School's mission and purpose within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on PB4L principles.
- Apply knowledge of diverse student needs to promote full participation in learning.
- Plan and implement effective teaching and learning in HSIE.
- Analyse data to inform student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s).
- Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment.
- Registration to teach with NESA.
Salary: Estimated salary range $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
