Dramatic Arts Educators Wanted for BFA and MFA Common Subjects

Our MissionWe strive to develop essential skills for emerging arts professionals entering the sector through our refreshed curriculum focusing on First Nations ways of learning, connection to Country, cultural awareness, sustainable practice in the performing arts, health and wellbeing, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurialism, and emerging technologies.
Job Title: Expression of Interest for BFA and MFA TutorsWe are currently seeking expressions of interest from arts educators for the 2025 BFA and MFA common subjects. These subjects are compulsory for all BFA and MFA students.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annumAbout the RoleTutors in the BFA program will be working with first- and second-year students from six disciplines: Props and Effects, Costume, Set Construction Technologies, Design for Performance, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, and Acting. They will work with small group tutorials, mark assessments, and possibly facilitate workshops and interactive lectures.
Tutors in the MFA program will be working on a subject called Practice-based Research with students in Directing, Dramatic Writing, and Cultural Leadership. This subject prepares students to enrich their specific practice and share their findings with a community of peers.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or industry experience equivalence for BFA teaching
- PhD, PhD candidature, or Masters degree plus demonstrated teaching and/or research experience for MFA teaching
- A short cover letter indicating teaching experience, areas of interest, expertise, and availability in 2025
- CV with contact details of two work-related referees
- Brief statement about commitment to social and cultural inclusion and ability to cater to diversity of learning needs and requirements
