Role Overview
The position of Middle Leader exists to support the Principal in implementing the vision and mission of St Benedict's Catholic College, Oran Park. The successful applicant will be required to lead a professional team to support and meet the pastoral and well-being needs of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor staff to promote a positive, innovative approach to student well-being and management.
- Develop and maintain a positive learning culture of high expectations for all, with an emphasis on differentiated learning to meet the holistic needs of students.
- Use data to discern the individual needs of students and source appropriate support.
- Collaborate with the school leadership team to conduct and organise the school.
- Support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students.
Essential Criteria
- A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- A commitment to promoting and embedding the school's values in pastoral programs and practices.
- A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student well-being and management.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching, including Level C Accreditation and NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Appropriate additional qualifications or experience in a relevant area.
- Commitment to gain Level C Accreditation within the first contractual period.
Working with Children Clearance
This role is classified as child-related work and requires a working with children clearance to be completed prior to commencement.
