Job Overview

This is a role in which you will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction during their time at the hospital.

The successful candidate will be required to work across three to four days per week, with an additional Saturday shift each month.

Responsibilities
  • Contact patients prior to admission regarding theatre times and costs
  • Prepare patient histories for theatre lists and ensure accurate data entry
  • Liaise with doctors' rooms as needed
  • Ensure adherence to COVID-19 policies and procedures
  • Greet patients upon arrival and admit them for procedures
  • Complete accurate and timely data entry into the patient management system
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Receptionist/Patient Services Officer in a hospital would be advantageous
  • A strong knowledge of health fund arrangements would be highly desirable
  • Professional presentation with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Prioritising, organisational and time management skills
