About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Support Officer to join our team at the Department of Health Tasmania. As an Administrative Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Manager and Management Group House Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of office management support services, ensuring sensitive and confidential handling of all enquiries.
  • Actively support the delivery of administrative and service operation functions, facilitating effective communication processes to and from the office.
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager and Management Group House Services, including preparing reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective office operations.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • High-level administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, with the ability to apply them in a practical context.
