Role Summary

We're seeking an experienced Guest Service Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you'll create a warm and memorable experience from check-in to check-out.

Your day-to-day will involve managing bookings, handling transactions, and providing local insights to enhance each guest's stay. You'll also be a trusted support, anticipating their needs, resolving concerns, and ensuring their time with us is seamless and enjoyable.

About Your Responsibilities
  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone
  • Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary
What We Need From You
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions
  • Prior experience working as a Guest Service Agent at a luxury hotel is preferred
  • Mandatory certifications include RSA
  • A high school diploma or qualification
  • Experience in Opera preferred
  • Passion for providing luxury experiences
  • Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene
  • An organised approach, ability to handle large amounts of information at once and deal with various requests simultaneously
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Physical fitness
