It aims to be a premier destination for both local and international guests, establishing itself as one of the world's finest hotels.Position SummaryThe Culturist is the hotel ambassador, responsible for creating memorable guest experiences from pre-arrival to post-departure.
The role requires expertise in local culture and heritage, providing flawless, personalized, and luxurious service, and maintaining the Capella Living Room.The RolePlan and arrange setups for special occasions and requests (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries).
Recognize and warmly welcome VIPs and returning guests, maintaining strong relationships during their stay.Review daily arrival lists, identify VIPs and guests with special requests, and communicate this information effectively to relevant departments.Be proficient in the duties of the Culturist program and adaptable to fulfill delegated responsibilities.Ensure exceptional cleanliness of The Living Room and related areas to luxury standards.Greet guests on arrival, provide personal check-in at the Living Room, and conduct rooming orientations.Assist with setting up requested rooms and suites, reporting any defects to relevant departments.Offer recommendations, craft itineraries, arrange curated trips, and organize excursions to enhance guest experiences.Talent ProfileMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or resorts.Concierge experience is advantageous.Experience in Executive Lounge, Front Desk, or Guest Services preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly demeanor, and ability to build lasting guest relationships.Strong command of spoken and written English.Proficient in Microsoft Office and computing skills.Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.Valid working rights in Australia.What You Will Receive with Capella SydneyVibrant and supportive workplace environment.Work in elegantly designed spaces within a historic building.Access to online LinkedIn training courses for personal and professional development.Complimentary meals during shifts.Hotel and group booking discounts.Confidential counselling and support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
