Senior Technical Lead

This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead the future of high voltage transmission system developments. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge power systems analysis and formulating strategic recommendations to optimise network performance.

You will lead teams in managing complex technical challenges and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Additionally, you will develop innovative solutions, manage joint network planning and spearhead enhancements for short-term and long-term benefits.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline or equivalent relevant experience are essential. Postgraduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline and knowledge in market modelling and simulation are highly desirable.
  • A proven track record in extensive experience in electricity transmission system analysis and development is required.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, contractors, technical experts and senior management are necessary.
  • Substantial experience in legislation and technical standards guiding system planning and working in accordance with a Quality Assurance System is crucial.
  • Extensive knowledge of national and international planning standards and practices, electrical networks engineering and operations, risk management (qualitative and quantitative) and quality assurance principles is vital.
  • Well-developed people and service management skills, excellent written communication skills for persuasive reports and submissions, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, and proven experience in change management are essential.
