Job Title: High Voltage Operations Expert

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our System Resilience team as a High Voltage Operations Expert. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of operational technology solutions that will strengthen the resilience of Australia's high-voltage transmission network.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support initiatives for major SCADA/EMS upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Translate operational needs into robust technical requirements, driving continuous improvement in control room operations.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to optimize system design, identifying opportunities for quick wins by 2026.
  • Act as delegate for the Future Control Centre Manager when required, providing strategic guidance on operational technology solutions.
About You
  • You have proven experience in control centre operations, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
  • You possess strong knowledge of operational technology systems in real-time environments, including HV transmission networks, control, protection, and communication systems.
  • You have experience in user acceptance testing, SCADA systems, and fault finding, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and project teams.
  • You bring leadership or coordination experience, with the ability to guide small teams and drive cultural change.
